In this Sunderland tea towel design I’ve represented elements of the city’s industrial history but I also wanted to celebrate other great aspects of the city. The music and cultural scene in Sunderland features such bands like The Futureheads, Lake Poets and Field Music, and the new city centre MAC Quarter. The city features iconic landmarks like Penshaw Monument, the new Norther Spire Bridge, Roker Pier and Lighthouse and Wearmouth Bridge.

The original design that is featured on the Sunderland Tea Towel is hand-drawn. The design is printed onto one side of a 46 x 67cm 100% Cotton tea towel, hemmed on all four sides, including hanging loop and care label. They are specially coated for pigment printing, for enhanced definition and colour fastness. The tea towels we use are made and printed in the UK.
