I have recently undertake a new wall mural commission in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Local bakery Loulou’s have moved into a new bakery in Billington and wanted some original artwork to brighten up their customer entrance. Loulou’s specialise in meringues, cakes and macarons featuring bright and bold colours. Their sweet treats have a distinctive appearance and they have built up a huge following on social media with people traveling from far and wide to buy their produce.
With the first large wall mural, the owners wanted the commissioned artwork to complement their cakes and feature bright and bold colours. I created a Large 3D design which gave the illusion that the words were jumping out of the wall! I hand-painted the mural over 3 days and used Liquitex Soft Body paints. This was the first large 3D typography mural that I’ve painted and I was so happy with how it turned out. It definitely answered the clients brief of being bright, bold and eye-catching.
The second wall mural commission was similar to my football designs. The client had previously purchased one of my Burnley FC (link) prints and wanted something in that style but featuring content relevant to baking. I drew this mural freehand on the side of their freezer using Molotow All 4 One pens from Graff City. Loulou’s customers see this mural as they enter the bakery and can take the time to explore the design while they are waiting to be served.

Like all of our murals, these were designed specifically for the space in which they were going and with the client and their customers in mind. If you would like us to transform a space in your business, office or home with a hand-painted wall mural please contact us.
